This privacy policy applies to the れんらくちょう / CommNote (Renrakucho) app for mobile devices, together with any related services operated by Gen Takagaki (collectively, the "Application"). Gen Takagaki is hereby referred to as the "Service Provider".
The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include information such as
The Application also stores information you actively provide in order to deliver its core features, including the display name you enter, the group (shared notebook) you create or join, and the content you add to the shared notebook — such as messages and shopping items ("れんらく"), rules and agreements ("きめごと"), and expense records ("おかね", including amount, description, who paid, who it was for, date, and notes). This content is shared with the other members of the group you belong to so that you can use the notebook together.
By default the Application signs you in anonymously; you only provide a display name. You may optionally link or sign in with your Apple ID or Google account so that the same data can be used across devices and restored after reinstalling. When you do so, the Service Provider receives an account identifier and, where you provide it, your email address. The Service Provider uses this only to identify your account and keep your data associated with you.
If you allow notifications, the Application stores a push notification registration token (Firebase Cloud Messaging token) and your language preference so that it can send you notifications about activity in your group (for example, when a member adds an item, completes a task, adds a rule, or records an expense). You can turn off notifications at any time in your device settings.
The Application offers an optional auto-renewable subscription ("れんらくちょうプレミアム / CommNote Premium"). Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play); the Service Provider does not receive or store your full payment card details. The Service Provider uses RevenueCat, Inc. to manage and verify subscription entitlements. Through this process the Service Provider receives purchase-related information such as the product purchased, purchase and expiration dates, transaction and subscription identifiers, the store and environment, renewal status, and a pseudonymous application user identifier (the identifier of the group the subscription unlocks). This information is used to enable Premium features for the members of the corresponding group and to provide customer support. The Application lets you create a read-only web link to share a selected list with people who do not have the app. When you create such a link, the selected content becomes viewable by anyone who has the link until you revoke it or it expires. Only the content you choose to include is shared. You can revoke a share link at any time from within the Application.
The Application or its third-party SDKs may use cookies, SDKs, pixels, and similar technologies to support functionality, analytics, or service delivery. Where required by applicable law, the Service Provider will obtain consent before using non-essential tracking technologies.
The Application uses Google Analytics for Firebase (Firebase Analytics) to understand how the Application is used so that the Service Provider can improve it. This service collects information such as a pseudonymous app-instance identifier, device and operating system information, and events about your interactions with the Application (for example, screen views and actions such as signing in, creating a group, or recording an expense). On the free tier, the Application uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google AdMob is an advertising service provided by Google. To serve and measure ads, AdMob and its partners may collect and process data such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, and information about your interactions with ads. This data may be used to deliver personalized (interest-based) ads where permitted, and to measure ad performance and prevent fraud. Subscribing to Premium removes ads for all members of the group.

You can opt out of personalized advertising. On iOS, you can limit ad tracking or decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt; on Android, you can opt out of ads personalization or reset your advertising identifier in your device settings. You can also manage Google ad personalization at https://adssettings.google.com.
The Application relies on the following third-party services. Your data may be processed and stored on their servers.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data held by the Service Provider. You can delete your account and the personal data associated with it directly within the Application at any time via Settings > Delete Account（設定 > アカウントを削除）. To exercise any of these rights in another way, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, contact the Service Provider at negdev0114@gmail.com.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. The Service Provider may use the information you provide to send important information, required notices, and, where permitted by law, marketing communications.
For a better experience while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide certain personally identifiable information. The information the Service Provider requests will be retained and used as described in this privacy policy.
Aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. In addition, as described above, the Application shares certain information with Google (Firebase, Analytics, and AdMob), RevenueCat, and the app stores in order to provide its features. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.
The Service Provider or its third-party service providers may transfer personal data to countries outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, the Service Provider will use appropriate mechanisms.
Data protection laws in other countries may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required by law, the Service Provider will apply appropriate safeguards and obtain any consent required for the transfer.
The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:
You can stop further collection of information from your mobile device by uninstalling the Application. Uninstalling will stop the Application from collecting data from your device, but it does not automatically delete information that has already been transmitted to the Service Provider or to third parties.
You can delete your account and associated data at any time from within the Application via Settings > Delete Account（設定 > アカウントを削除）. To otherwise request deletion of your personal data, to withdraw consent, or to exercise any of your rights, contact the Service Provider at negdev0114@gmail.com.
The Service Provider retains personal data based on its necessity for the stated purposes:
You may request deletion of your personal data, subject to any legal obligation to retain it. You can delete your account and the User Provided Data associated with it directly within the Application via Settings > Delete Account（設定 > アカウントを削除）. Alternatively, you can contact the Service Provider at negdev0114@gmail.com. Please note that some User Provided Data may be required for the Application to function properly.
The Application is not intended for children under 16 years of age, or such higher age as required by applicable law. The Service Provider does not knowingly solicit data from children or market the Application to them.
The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. The Service Provider encourages all children to never submit any personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services. The Service Provider encourages parents and legal guardians to monitor their children's Internet usage and to help enforce this Policy by instructing their children never to provide personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services without their permission. If you have reason to believe that a child has provided personally identifiable information to the Service Provider through the Application and/or Services, please contact the Service Provider (negdev0114@gmail.com) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions. If you are under 16 years of age, your parent or guardian must provide consent on your behalf where permitted by law.
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the Service Provider processes and maintains.
If a data breach occurs that affects your personal data, the Service Provider will notify you in accordance with applicable legal requirements, including, where required, providing information about the nature of the breach and the steps being taken to address it.
The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The Service Provider will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy with an effective date. Where required by law, the Service Provider will seek your consent to material changes before they take effect.

Where processing is based on consent, you provide that consent by affirmatively opting in to the relevant feature or action. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal. Processing based on other lawful bases is carried out as described above.
